The Healthy Side of Salt
Although it is often said that we should reduce the use of salt because prejudice especially on the kidneys and eyes, but it have positive effect for other diseases.
It is important to have at home and use if you want to help yourself at home.
These are some situations in which salt can help:
- If you feel pain in throat
Make a mixture of 1 teaspoon salt and 2,5 dl water and mix until melted. With the mixture gargle several times a day.
- Burns in mouth
If you put something hot on your tongue, make a mixture of half a teaspoon of salt and 2 dl warm water and gargle every hour.
- For sensitive and painful jaw
Make a solution of 1 teaspoon salt and 1 dl water, and gargle as often as possible.
As a temporary solution for pain relief until you go to the dentist, rinse your mouth with a mixture of 1 dl lukewarm water 2 teaspoons of vinegar and 1 teaspoon salt.
- Allergy and inflammation of the sinuses
Salt is the lifeline for the irritated mucosa. Cook 2 to 3 dl of water and add salt, enough for water to be as sea salt. Wait to get cold to room temperature. Put the mixture into a bottle of nose drops and spray in the nose twice a day.
- Insect bite
Salt can reduce the pain and reduce swelling at the sting of a bee or other insect. From salt you can make a thick paste. Apply it on the site of the sting, leave it up to stand until completely dry. Salt will soothe irritation and reduce pain.
- Swollen legs
